This EP materializes a first step towards progressive music for the Norman artist and composer Aelred Nils. Within 5 tracks, Aelred Nils shows the whole range of the ambient panel he wanted to deepen between ambient-drone, field recording or patched sequences.

"I liken my music to trance, sacred, modal music and techno. The last few years have been like an exploration of this form, whether contemporary or ancient."

The words of the painter Sho Shiba, whose painting The Point of Zero gave the title to this EP, echo Aelred Nils' artistic approach: "When it comes to feelings towards nature, it is not enough to copy objects, you have to keep on working until the joy or feeling that has emerged in your mind appears as it is on the canvas."
